Description

This is a portrait of the trunk I used while on the road with the circus. These are my costumes that were designed by myself and my partner and sewn by my partner. At the time I had already been out of the circus for several years and my son had just been born. The opening of the trunk is a metaphor for birth, and the red satin and velvet costume that is levitating out is a stand in for my son, emerging from a mysterious inner space out in to the world.
